Where it all began
In 1972, Reg and Hazel Rowe set out from their Queensland home with a simple idea: make it easier for everyday Australians to access the automotive gear they needed. What began as a small mail-order business quickly grew, driven by their hands-on approach, vision and deep understanding of their customers.
Today, Super Retail Group has evolved into one of Australia and New Zealand’s leading retailers, bringing together four iconic brands: Supercheap Auto, rebel, BCF and Macpac. Across our stores and digital channels, we serve millions of customers who are passionate about auto, sport and outdoor leisure. Tommy was a proud Gunditjmara, Yorta Yorta and Wemba-Wemba man and he worked with the Bunurong Traditional Owners to create this mural. It reflects connection to Country, culture and community, and stands as a lasting expression of identity and story within our workplace. We pay our respects to Tommy’s family, community and cultural legacy, and honour the contribution he made through his art.
